Savio Verra, luthier artist sculptor musician.
A chance encounter when we were 16 has led to a long lasting friendship.
Originally from Lienz, in the Tirol where I have fond memories, Savio now lives in Gars am Kamp, where he has his studio and workshop and lives with his family.
I have an intense love for Austria, and find myself travelling there often. Visiting friends and enjoying the peace there.
Over copious amounts of wine and schnaps back in December 2018, “Vera” was created as an idea. His first ever bass build, and also a six string bass. Throughout the year we kept in contact on the build of “Vera” always being told the latest update and challenges he was finding in building her. In December 2019 I travelled to Gars to visit and to pick “Vera” up.
